Elizabeth Holmes Claims Innocence in New Doc Trailer

Elizabeth Holmes, the former CEO of the defunct blood-testing company Theranos, asserts her innocence in a new trailer for the upcoming documentary You Can See Everything. Filmmaker Nathan Fielder engages with Holmes and her family in the film.

In the trailer, Fielder asks Holmes if she believes she did nothing wrong. "I did not," Holmes replies. When asked about where things went wrong, she states, "I wish I knew. I don't know. I don't feel like I understand that." The documentary was filmed in 2023, before Holmes reported to prison.

Holmes was convicted in January 2022 on four counts of fraud related to millions of dollars invested in Theranos. She received a sentence of over 11 years in prison.

The documentary trailer shows Fielder living with Holmes, her partner Billy Evans, and their children. Holmes tells Fielder she is not worried about him living with them, adding, "I think this is the moment in time to capture this story before I'm gone." Evans responds "No, never" when asked if he had ever suspected Holmes of lying to him.

Directed by Lance Oppenheim, You Can See Everything is scheduled for a theatrical release on Oct. 16. A synopsis describes the film as an intimate portrait of an "enigmatic felon" documenting a three-year journey.

Holmes previously shared a clip from the documentary on her X account on Sept. 6, captioning it, "I’m always being real." The trailer concludes with Holmes telling Fielder, "I don't have anything to hide."
