Aventura residents and businesses can now pay permit fees, business taxes, code violations and zoning fees online through the city's eTRAKiT web portal. The new system aims to streamline payments and offer greater convenience.

Users must log in to the eTRAKiT portal. New users who are business owners or residents should create a public account by clicking "Setup an Account" on the portal's homepage. Contractors must first register with the Building Division and will receive login credentials via email. For assistance with contractor registration, call 305-466-8937.

Once logged in, users can access their dashboard and select the record type from the left-hand navigation pane, such as Permits, Licenses, Projects or Code. After clicking "Search Permit/License/Project/Code," enter the specific Permit, License, Project or Case Number into the "Search Value" field. If an invoice was received, use the record number from the invoice. Ensure there are no spaces when entering the record number.

Clicking on the search result displays the item, which can be added to the cart by clicking "Add to Cart." Users review the shopping cart for accuracy and proceed to checkout. After reviewing the checkout summary, click "Pay Now" and complete the billing and payment information before clicking "Process Payment." A 2.79% credit card convenience fee will be added to the total charge.

An email receipt will be sent to the provided billing email address. Applicable documentation will be emailed by city staff. Specific contact information for inquiries regarding permits, business tax receipts, or code and planning violations is available on the portal and in city communications.
