Miami Beach Seeks Federal Grants for Infrastructure

The City of Miami Beach plans to apply for federal funding through the Rebuild Florida General Infrastructure Program to improve its infrastructure. City officials will submit two grant applications to the program, administered by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.

The initiative receives funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through its Community Development Block Grant-Mitigation allocation. The state has allocated $175 million for the Rebuild Florida General Infrastructure Program.

Miami Beach will specify the projects for which it seeks funding during the application process. The program aims to help communities mitigate the effects of natural disasters and enhance resilience.
