Miami Beach first responders will soon use a specialized Quick Response Vehicle (QRV) to improve emergency response times across the city. The Miami Beach Fire Department is adding the compact tactical vehicle to its Emergency Medical Services fleet.
The QRV's design prioritizes maneuverability, allowing personnel to reach patients more rapidly through congested streets and crowded event areas. This addition aims to overcome delays caused by traffic, particularly in dense urban environments and during large public gatherings such as Art Basel or the South Beach Wine & Food Festival. The vehicle's smaller size offers advantages in navigating narrow streets with limited access, common throughout Miami Beach.
The department plans to integrate the QRV into its operations in the coming weeks.
