Maricopa County residents looking to boost their digital literacy can attend a hands-on Basic Computer Skills workshop. The program covers essential computer functions, including internet searching, creating and saving Word documents, setting up and sending emails, and cyber safety.
The workshop is available at two convenient locations within Maricopa County. The East Valley Center (EVC) is located at 1001 W. Southern Ave., Suite 101, in the heart of Mesa's East Valley community, AZ 85210. Residents can reach the EVC at 602-372-9700. For those in the West Valley, the West Valley Center (WVC) is situated at 4425 W. Olive Ave., Suite 190, in Glendale's thriving West Valley area, AZ 85302. The WVC can be contacted at 602-372-4200. Both centers offer TTY services by dialing 7-1-1.
Community members can stay informed about current events and future workshops by subscribing to calendar notifications, which provide email or text alerts. The default calendar view is "View All Calendars," but individuals can select a specific calendar to narrow down events of interest.
