Drone Attacks Strike Russian Territories, Resulting in Casualties and Damage

Ukrainian forces deployed drones in a series of attacks across Russia, hitting targets that included warehouses, oil depots, and government administrator buildings. These operations resulted in nine fatalities and injured more than 60 individuals, according to Russian reports.

Footage showed explosions and fires at various sites, including at least one that appeared to be a military base. Authorities in the Russian Federation reported damage to infrastructure and initiated investigations into the incidents.

The attacks extended across multiple Russian regions. In the Krasnodar region, authorities reported the destruction of an oil depot and a warehouse. Drone fragments also caused damage to building facades in Krasnodar city center.

Separately, Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported damage to apartment buildings and a gas pipeline in his region. He stated local emergency services were responding to the damage.

Russian defense officials reported intercepting and destroying numerous Ukrainian drones over several regions. They stated air defense systems engaged targets in regions including Krasnodar, Belgorod, Bryansk, and others.

One drone strike hit a residential building in the city of Belgorod, causing a collapse and killing multiple residents. Rescuers searched for survivors in the rubble. Governor Gladkov reported 17 people injured in that incident.

Another strike occurred in the Russian-occupied Luhansk region of Ukraine, where a missile hit a warehouse facility. Russian-installed officials in Luhansk stated the strike killed four civilians and injured more than 10 others. They reported the target was a former engineering factory.

The attacks signify a continued use of drone technology in the ongoing conflict, extending the reach of hostilities into Russian territory.
