Melbourne Launches News Flash Archive for Easy Access to Past Emergency Alerts

Melbourne residents can now easily access a digital archive of past emergency alerts and news flashes, offering a centralized resource for historical public safety information. The News Flash Archive, powered by CivicPlus®, allows users to search through previously issued alerts using various filters.

The archive currently lists seven entries, with the ability to adjust the display to show 10, 25, or 50 items per page. This digital tool provides a transparent look at past communications, including specific emergency alerts issued over a decade ago.

Among the alerts found in the archive are an "Emergency Alert" published on June 8, 2011, at 8:58 AM, and several others from April 18, 2011, at 11:43 AM, 11:16 AM, and 11:08 AM. An "Interior Emergency Alert" from March 29, 2010, at 7:34 AM, and an "Emergency Alert" from March 16, 2010, at 11:27 AM, are also available for review. Another "Emergency Alert" was published on August 11, 2010, at 12:10 PM.

Residents can navigate the archive by filtering content using keywords, categories, specific items, and defined date ranges. This functionality helps users pinpoint relevant information quickly, providing a valuable resource for understanding the city's past responses to various situations.
