Brevard County residents, including those in Melbourne, now have access to simplified forms for filing a quiet title action, as required by Florida law. The Brevard County Clerk of Court's office provides these forms, which are based on templates created by The Florida Bar.
The forms address situations involving allegations of fraudulent attempted conveyances. Section 65.091(3) of the Florida Statutes mandates that clerks of the circuit court offer these documents.
The Clerk of Court's office reminds individuals with questions about quiet title actions to seek legal advice from an attorney. Clerks and their deputies are prohibited from practicing law under Section 454.18 of the Florida Statutes.
The Brevard County Clerk of Court operates several offices throughout the county. The Melbourne office, located at 51 Nieman Ave., Melbourne, FL 32901, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Other offices serve Viera, Titusville, the Parkway Complex, Palm Bay, and Merritt Island, with specific operating hours that may include midday lunch closures.
