Post-disaster scams
Unfortunately, some scammers use disasters as opportunities to take advantage of people. Remember: Truist won’t email, text, or call to ask you to provide, update, or verify your personal or account information, such as passwords, Social Security numbers, personal identification numbers (PINs), or credit or debit card numbers.
We also won’t use scare tactics, threats, or high-pressure language to get you to act quickly—but scammers will. If you think your Truist account has been compromised, report it to us immediately using the button below. To report wire/ACH fraud, call your Treasury Solutions Client Support team at 800-774-8179. To report check fraud, call 844-4TRUIST (844-487-8478).
Report fraud
Payment relief can be available when you need it.
If a natural disaster leaves you struggling to meet your mortgage agreement, you may be able to suspend your payments with a forbearance. This way, you won’t be charged penalties or late fees, and your account won’t be reported as delinquent to credit agencies during your forbearance.

Build an emergency kit – Prepare a disaster supply kit with essentials like food, water, medication, and first aid supplies to last you at least 72 hours.
