1.) Seniors, please drop by Mrs. Shumaker’s office to sign for your diplomas and check the spelling of your name, come in between classes or lunch time.
2.) The Battle of the Books meeting will be on Tuesday, November 15th from 4-5 pm in the library. Please share any practice questions with Ms. Neff before the meeting. Please bring food and drinks to share!
3.) Our monthly book club meeting will be on Wednesday, November 16th from 3-4 pm in the library. This month’s theme is “A Book You Are Grateful For.” Bring a book that you are grateful to have in your life. Please bring snacks and drinks to share!
4.) Due to the rainy weather forecast, the Fall World Series will begin today!! The 2022 Fall World Series dates and times:

Concession stand will be open and NO CHARGE for admission.
5.) “Tickets for the Fall Drama Performance are on sale all week long at lunch. Please see a cast member to purchase tickets! Tickets are only $5 for students!”
6.) The National Honor Society will meet tomorrow at 8:30 in the Media Center. Please be on time.
7.) IB Zaxby’s south fundraiser November 8th from 5-8 pm. Proceeds will benefit the International Baccalaureate Program.
8.) Nov 15 Picture Re-takes; 8:30-12pm – Location: TBD
9.) Please come out and support your girls weightlifting team this Wednesday, 4:30 in the gym as we host Beachside High School & Florida School for the Deaf and Blind! We’d love your support! Hope to see you there!!

"City of St. Augustine to Hold Budget Workshop on June 24
St. Augustine, FL (June 14, 2024) – The City of St. Augustine will hold a budget workshop on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. in the Alcazar Room at City Hall, located at 75 King Street. The workshop is open to the public and will provide an overview of the proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year."
St. Augustine to Celebrate July 4th with Fireworks and Festivities
"The City of St. Augustine is pleased to announce the annual July 4th Fireworks Celebration. The event will take place on Thursday, July 4th, 2024, with the fireworks display commencing at 9:30 PM over Matanzas Bay. Prior to the fireworks, there will be live music and entertainment starting at 6:00 PM at the Plaza de la Constitución. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot. Parking will be limited, and alternative transportation methods are recommended."
Pin Up Paws Calendar Contest to Benefit St. Augustine Humane Society
"“Center Stage” 2027 Pin Up Paws Calendar Contest
Does your pet have what it takes to be a showstopper?! This year Pin Up Paws is rolling out the red carpet and bringing Broadway magic to life transforming beloved pets into true stars of the stage. We’re searching for pets with the confidence, charisma, and curtain-call presence worthy of the brightest marquee lights.
Submit your pet’s photo following the guidelines on the contest website, then rally your fans to vote. Each $1.00 donation equals one vote. And … all donations benefit the lifesaving programs of the St. Augustine Humane Society.
Will your star land the coveted cover role or shine in a featured month of the calendar? This is their chance to take center stage, steal the show, and become part of a Broadway-worthy production!
Contest Information
Contest begins April 1, 2026 at 8:00am (EST)! And, the deadline to submit all votes online is Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 8:00pm (EST). The last day to submit your pet’s photo for competition is Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 8:00pm (EST).
The top 13 fundraisers will win a coveted spot with the pet receiving the most votes featured on the cover. The next twelve pets with the next highest amount of votes will be a celebrated portrait of the month.
Winners will receive a professional photo shoot with world-renowned photographer Addison Fitzgerald. Then, talented fine artist and graphic designer Maribel Angel will bring each pet’s performance to life with a theatrical, show-stopping design worthy of a standing ovation.
The 2027 calendar will be revealed at the Pin Up Paws Party on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the Casa Monica Hotel.

Burn Boot Camp St. Augustine Partners with Compassion Closet for Donations
"We are so excited to partner with Compassion Closet of St Johns County! They are a non-profit organization that provides clothing, shoes, toiletries, and other essential items to families in need in our community. From now until the end of the month, we will be collecting donations of new and gently used clothing, shoes, and toiletries at our location. Please bring any items you would like to donate to the front desk. Thank you for helping us support this amazing organization!"
