Mechanicville School District Wins National Music Award

The Mechanicville City School District has received the 2026 Best Communities for Music Education Award from The NAMM Foundation, a nonprofit that supports music education programs.

The NAMM Foundation selected the district based on funding, staffing, curriculum, community support, student participation rates, and investment in instruments and facilities. The foundation has presented the award annually since 2009 to school districts that demonstrate exceptional commitment to music as part of a well-rounded education.

"We applaud your community's unwavering commitment to creating an environment where each child can learn and grow with music," The NAMM Foundation said in its announcement.
