Residents in the Big Belt, Bridger, and Castle Mountains are advised that a Winter Storm Warning is in effect until Monday, October 12, at 6:00 AM MDT. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Great Falls, MT, has issued this warning due to expected heavy snow.

Additional snow accumulations of up to two inches are forecast for the affected mountain ranges. The NWS cautions that travel could become very difficult. The wet and heavy snow may also lead to downed tree branches and isolated power outages.

If travel is essential, motorists are urged to carry an extra flashlight, food, and water in their vehicles. For current road conditions, residents can dial 511.
