Gilbert Teen Arrested Again: New Charges for Revenge Porn Campaign
Elijah Deshong, 19, was arrested by Gilbert police on charges including sexual exploitation and computer tampering after a yearlong investigation revealed he allegedly flouted court-ordered restrictions designed to protect his victim. Between March 2025 and March 2026, investigators documented repeated contact with the victim, unauthorized access to her social media accounts, and the distribution of explicit photos and videos online—all violations of his existing plea agreement.
The 34 counts filed against Deshong represent one of the most serious digital harassment cases prosecuted in the East Valley in recent years. Prosecutors allege a pattern of deliberate contact designed to torment and intimidate the victim, coupled with technical violations that exploited her compromised digital security. The charges carry significant prison time and are expected to result in enhanced sentencing given the breach of the original plea deal.
Gilbert police declined to release additional details about the investigation, citing ongoing court proceedings. The case underscores growing concerns among Arizona law enforcement about the exploitation of social media and digital platforms by repeat offenders. Deshong remains in custody pending trial, with prosecutors expected to file a motion to increase bail given the alleged violations of his release conditions.
The victim's identity has been protected under Arizona law protecting survivors of sexual exploitation. Court records show the original case against Deshong involved similar allegations, making the new charges particularly troubling for prosecutors who believed the plea agreement would halt his conduct.
