Most results are available within 24–48 hours, empowering you and your physician to make timely, informed decisions about your care. Bring a lab order from your doctor (electronic or paper), your photo ID and your insurance card. How should I prepare? Preparation varies by test. You may need to fast, follow a special diet or collect a sample at a specific time. Follow the instructions provided by your physician. How long does it take? Most lab visits are completed in under 30 minutes. Results are typically available to your provider within 24–48 hours. Where can I see my results? Results are shared with your physician and are also viewable in MyChart (Northwest Community Hospital and Edward & Elmhurst Hospitals) or MyEndeavor.
