Tavares Babe Ruth Baseball & Softball offers a fun, safe, and competitive environment where young athletes build confidence, friendships, and lifelong memories. League Divisions Players are placed in divisions based primarily on age and, when applicable, skill evaluations to ensure a fun, safe, and competitive experience for every participant. Softball and baseball is offered in Rookie, Minors, Majors, and Babe Ruth age divisions. T-Ball Ages 4–6 An introduction to baseball and softball emphasizing fun, teamwork, and basic fundamentals. Rookie Ages 7–8 Players continue developing hitting, throwing, fielding, and game play in a supportive environment. Minors Ages 9–10 Focus on improving baseball and softball fundamentals while introducing more competitive game situations. Majors Ages 11–12 Competitive league play emphasizing advanced skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and player development. Babe Ruth Ages 13–16 Designed for experienced players looking to compete while preparing for middle school and high school baseball or softball. Player Placement League divisions are based primarily on a participant's age as of the Babe Ruth League age cutoff date. Depending on registration numbers, evaluations, and league needs, players may be placed in the division that provides the best developmental experience.
