Smalley Leads US PGA Championship After Third Round

Alex Smalley finished the third round of the US PGA Championship with a score of 6-under to hold the lead.

Rory McIlroy shot a 66, improving his position after an opening round of 74, and is now three strokes back. Justin Rose carded a 65 to move into contention. Jon Rahm shot a 67.

Several players are at 4-under, including Aaron Rai, Ludvig Aberg, Nick Taylor, and Matti Schmid.

Scottie Scheffler, who shot a 65 on Saturday last year on his way to winning the US PGA, finished with a 71, leaving him five shots behind the leader.
