Golden Knights Defeat Ducks 5-1, Advance to Western Conference Final
The Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Anaheim Ducks 5-1 in Game 6 to win the series. Pavel Dorofeyev scored two goals for Vegas.
Mitch Marner opened the scoring for the Golden Knights at 1:02 of the first period and also contributed an assist. Brett Howden scored a shorthanded goal, assisted by Marner. Shea Theodore scored a power-play goal with 2:41 remaining in the first. Mikael Granlund scored the lone goal for Anaheim on a power play in the second period, assisted by Troy Terry. Dorofeyev scored twice in the third period, at 2:52 and again later in the period.
Carter Hart made 31 saves for Vegas. Lukas Dostal recorded 16 saves for Anaheim.
The Golden Knights advance to the Western Conference Final to face the Colorado Avalanche.
