A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 1:00 PM CDT today for Lincoln and Lyon Counties in MN, and Brookings County in SD, with visibility under a quarter-mile.
Drivers in Lincoln and Lyon Counties in Minnesota, and Brookings County in South Dakota, should exercise extreme caution due to a Dense Fog Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Sioux Falls. The advisory is effective immediately, October 12, until 1:00 PM CDT today.
Visibility is currently one-quarter mile or less in the affected areas. These hazardous driving conditions necessitate immediate action from motorists.
The NWS advises anyone driving to slow down, use their headlights, and leave ample distance between their vehicle and others. Low visibility significantly increases the risk of accidents.
