Residents in Pulaski, Marshall, and Fulton counties are advised to seek shelter indoors as a strong thunderstorm is currently impacting the area. The National Weather Service Northern Indiana has issued a Special Weather Statement, effective immediately until 8:45 PM EDT.

As of 8:08 PM EDT, radar indicated a strong thunderstorm located 8 miles east of Winamac, moving northeast at 30 mph. This storm is capable of producing wind gusts up to 40 mph and half-inch hail. Gusty winds could cause tree limbs to fall and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is also possible.

Areas expected to be impacted include Culver, Walnut, Kewanna, Leiters Ford, Bruce Lake Station, Delong, Lake Bruce, Tiosa, Maxinkuckee, and Lawton.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, which may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. If you are outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.
