Residents in Cullman, DeKalb, Jackson, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan Counties should prepare for strong winds this afternoon. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Huntsville has issued a Wind Advisory, effective immediately until 7:00 PM CDT today, October 10.

Northeast winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected, with gusts potentially reaching 40 to 50 mph. These strong winds could blow around unsecured outdoor objects. Tree limbs may be brought down, and isolated power outages are possible.

The NWS advises that winds of this strength can make driving challenging, particularly for high-profile vehicles. Drivers should exercise extra caution on the roadways during this period.
