EnergySmart Celebrates 15 Years of Sustainability in Boulder County Since 2008, Boulder County’s EnergySmart program has been a cornerstone of the county’s sustainability efforts. For 15 years, EnergySmart has provided residents and businesses with energy advising and rebates to help them save energy and reduce their carbon footprint. Over the years, EnergySmart has: Provided energy advising to over 12,000 residents and businesses. Helped residents and businesses save over $20 million on their energy bills. Reduced greenhouse gas emissions by over 100,000 tons. EnergySmart offers a variety of services to help residents and businesses save energy, including: Home energy assessments Business energy assessments Rebates on energy-efficient appliances and equipment Financing for energy-efficient upgrades EnergySmart is a partnership between Boulder County, the City of Boulder, and Xcel Energy. The program is funded by a combination of local, state, and federal grants.
