City of Leesburg to Close July 3 for Independence Day

For immediate release: June 24, 2026Contact: Office of the City Manager 352-728-9786 ext. 1100 [email protected] Leesburg 4th of July closings LEESBURG, FL - City of Leesburg offices will close Friday, July 3, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Closings include City Hall, the Municipal Services Center, Public Works and the Recreational Complex. The Leesburg Public Library will be closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4. There will be no garbage or yard waste collection on Friday, July 3. Residential solid waste regularly scheduled for pick up on Fridays will be picked up on Tuesday, July 7. There will be no change for dumpster service for the holiday. All city facilities will resume normal operations on Monday, July 6. The H.O. Dabney Aquatic Center and Rogers Park Splash Pad will open on July 4 with regular operating hours. The Aquatic Center will be open from 11:30am – 6:00pm and the Splash Pad hours are 10:00am – 6:00pm.
