Eastport-South Manor Student Council Wins National Gold Award

The Eastport-South Manor Junior-Senior High School Student Council earned the 2026 National Gold Council of Excellence from the National Association of Student Councils, recognizing the group's leadership, service, engagement and student voice.

Principal Salvatore Alaimo credited the student leaders and advisers Ms. Heaney and Mr. Franchese. "They have shown what it means to be exemplary leaders in our district," Alaimo said.

NASC honors student councils that maintain strong year-round programs and improve their schools and communities.
