Mott Road Elementary Third Graders Launch Kindness Campaign

Staff Writer

Mott Road Elementary third graders create kindness posters for school

Third graders at Mott Road Elementary have spent recent months in the Kindness Club, discussing trust, personal identity, belonging, and empathy with School Counselor Makenzie Keeler.

Students are now posting their ideas throughout the school. The posters, created by club members, carry messages about kindness and reflect conversations from their meetings.

"These are skills they are using, not only with peers in their grade, but also as members of our larger school and community," Keeler said.

The club gives young students space to develop social-emotional skills they apply in daily interactions with classmates and the broader school community.
