Manistique released approximately 1.4 million gallons of diluted sewage into the Manistique River over three days last month. The overflow began April 12 at 7:40 a.m. and ended April 15 at 11 p.m. at Combined Sewer Outfall 003 near the city's waterfront.

Heavy rainfall and snow melt triggered the release. Residents with questions can contact Utilities Superintendent Rebekah Weber at 906-341-2281.
