The Town of Howey-in-the-Hills is currently in the process of updating its Parks and Recreation Master Plan. As part of this process, the Town is seeking public input to help guide the future of parks and recreation in our community.

The Town of Howey-in-the-Hills is currently in the process of updating its Parks and Recreation Master Plan. As part of this process, the Town is seeking public input to help guide the future of parks and recreation in our community. A public workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Howey Community Center. This workshop will provide an opportunity for residents to share their thoughts, ideas, and priorities for parks and recreation in Howey-in-the-Hills. We encourage all residents to attend this important workshop and help shape the future of our parks and recreation system. Your input is valuable and will help ensure that our parks and recreation facilities meet the needs of our community for years to come. On Saturday, the North Charleston Police Department’s Community Engagement Unit hosted one of our most heartwarming and impactful events of the year—“A Baby Changes Everything” special baby shower.We were honored to welcome new and expectant mothers for a day filled with education, resources, and meaningful support to help them navigate this exciting journey. Attendees participated in workshops and presentations covering important topics such as traveling with a baby, healthy lifestyle choices, postpartum depression, and more.The event also featured free giveaways and prizes, providing essential items for moms and moms-to-be.A special thank you to our incredible partners—Bundle of Joy, New York Life, Zetas of Charleston, the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), and I Serve With Joy!—for helping make this event such a tremendous success. 💙
