FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – The Town of Groveland is pleased to announce that, in conjunction with the regionalization of its 911 dispatch services, the Town is launching a new and enhanced Emergency and Non-Emergency Alert System. This upgraded system, available through North Shore Regional 911, provides residents with greater flexibility and control over the notifications they receive. Residents may choose to receive: Emergency Alerts only Non-Emergency Alerts only Both Emergency and Non-Emergency Alerts Subscribers can also select their preferred method(s) of communication — text message, phone call, email, or any combination. Emergency Alerts include urgent situations such as hazardous material spills, missing persons or children, and other high-priority public safety incidents. Non-Emergency Alerts include important but non-urgent updates such as hydrant flushing schedules, detour notices, water main breaks, trash collection delays, and community event announcements. (The Town will not be issuing any alerts related to the Pentucket Regional School District, as they have their own notification system) Please note: Residents currently enrolled in CodeRED, the Town’s existing alert system, WILL NOT be automatically transferred to the new platform. The Town will discontinue use of CodeRED effective March 13, 2026. To sign up, please click HERE (https://www.smart911.com/smart911/ref/reg.action?pa=state911ma)
