Kelly North Joins Tennessee State Workforce Board
Governor Bill Lee appointed Kelly North, executive director of the Tullahoma Area Economic Development Corporation, to the Tennessee State Workforce Development Board. Her term runs through June 30, 2027.
The state board advises the governor on workforce policy, strategy and investments. It monitors program performance for job seekers and employers across Tennessee.
North joined TAEDC in September 2025. She has focused the organization on business recruitment, existing industry support and workforce development.
"I appreciate Governor Bill Lee's confidence in me through this appointment," North said. "I'm committed to bringing a practical, solutions-oriented perspective to the State Workforce Development Board, focused on helping Tennesseans gain in-demand skills and supporting the businesses that drive our state's growth."
Beverly Lee, chair of the TAEDC Board of Directors, said North has brought momentum to the organization since her arrival. "In a short time, she has connected workforce priorities to business recruitment and positioned Tullahoma for opportunities ahead," Lee said.
