The report of Citrin Cooperman & Company, LLP, Certified Public Accountants as of September 30, 2024, is available for examination and contains their opinion as to the fair presentation of the City’s financial statements. The City continues to receive an unqualified opinion. Please see the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report on this website.AwardsCertificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial ReportingThe Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the City of Lighthouse Point for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2024. This was the thirty-first consecutive year that the City government has received this prestigious award.In order to be awarded a Certificate of Achievement, a government must publish an easily readable and efficiently organized annual comprehensive financial report. The report must satisfy both generally accepted accounting principles and applicable legal requirements. A Certificate of Achievement is valid for a period of one year only.Distinguished Budget Presentation AwardThe Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada presented a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award to the City of Lighthouse Point for its Annual Budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2025. In order to receive this award, a governmental unit must publish a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, as a financial plan, as an operations guide, and as a communications device.This award is valid for a period of one year only.
