New Smyrna Beach to Hold Public Hearings on Proposed FY2025 Budget
"NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
Notice is hereby given that the City Commission of the City of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, will hold public hearings to consider the following item:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2024, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2025; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The public hearings will be held at City Hall Commission Chambers, 210 Sams Avenue, New Smyrna Beach, Florida, at 6:30 p.m. on the following dates:
September 10, 2024
September 24, 2024
Copies of the proposed budget are available for inspection in the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 210 Sams Avenue, New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
All interested persons are invited to attend and be heard. The meetings will be held in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you are a person with a disability who needs any accommodation in order to participate in this proceeding, you are entitled to the provision of certain assistance. Please contact the City Clerk's office at 386-410-2630 at least 72 hours prior to the meeting.
If any person decides to appeal any decision made with respect to any matter considered at the above referenced meeting, such person will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Commission of the City of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, will hold public hearings to consider the enactment of Ordinance 18-24, relating to the FY2024/2025 budget, and Ordinance 19-24, relating to the zoning code, as follows:
Ordinance 18-24: A budget ordinance relating to the FY2024/2025 budget.
Ordinance 19-24: An ordinance amending the zoning code.
The public hearings will be held at the City Commission Meeting at the New Smyrna Beach City Hall, 210 Sams Avenue, New Smyrna Beach, Florida, at 6:30 p.m. on the following dates:
Ordinance 18-24: First Reading – August 13, 2024
Second Reading – August 27, 2024
Ordinance 19-24: First Reading – August 13, 2024
Second Reading – August 27, 2024
