The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) and South Walton Artificial Reef Association (SWARA) are pleased to present “Human Contact,” the fourth installation in the Art in Public Places Program (APP) on display at the Underwater Museum of Art (UMA). The sculpture by artist Katlyn Cross will be deployed into the UMA during the 2024 deployment. This exhibit will be on display from May 23, 2024 through January 13, 2025.
About the Artist: Katlyn Cross
Katlyn Cross’ art practice is rooted in both painting and sculpture. She received her BFA from Auburn University in 2008, and her MFA from the University of Alabama in 2012. She has taught studio art courses at the University of Alabama, Shelton State Community College, and Georgia Highlands College. She has exhibited her work throughout the southeast, including venues such as the Mobile Museum of Art and the Wiregrass Museum of Art. Currently, she lives and works in Rome, Georgia.
