DEERFIELD, Ill., May 29, 2024 – Walgreens and the American Diabetes Association® (ADA) today announced a collaboration to address diabetes and health inequities in underserved communities. Together, Walgreens and the ADA will work to expand access to diabetes resources, education, and support, with a focus on reaching individuals who are disproportionately affected by the disease.

Together, Walgreens and the ADA will work to expand access to diabetes resources, education, and support, with a focus on reaching individuals who are disproportionately affected by the disease. The collaboration will focus on three key areas: * Expanding access to diabetes education and resources in underserved communities * Increasing awareness of diabetes risk factors and prevention strategies * Improving health outcomes for people with diabetes Walgreens and the ADA will work together to implement programs and initiatives that address these key areas, including: * Diabetes education workshops and support groups * Health screenings and risk assessments * Community outreach events * Digital resources and tools Walgreens and the ADA are committed to working together to make a positive impact on the lives of people with diabetes in underserved communities.
