Manatee Sheriff Arrests Suspect in Bradenton Homicide

Manatee County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred late Thursday night in Bradenton, leading to one arrest.
Deputies responded at approximately 11:15 p.m. on September 17, 2026, to the 5100 block of 14th St. W. They found a deceased adult woman outside a residence. The scene showed signs of homicidal violence.
Rodney Booth, DOB 11/20/1961, was present at the location and deputies have charged him with murder.
Authorities are withholding the victim's identity as the investigation continues. The Sheriff's Office has not released further details.
