Macon County Wins National Financial Reporting Award

Macon County received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association for its annual comprehensive financial report covering the fiscal year ended November 30, 2024.

The GFOA, a professional association for government finance officers across North America, judged the county's report against standards requiring clear communication of financial information and full disclosure to the public.
