At 1131 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 10 miles southeast of Etowah, or 14 miles north of Ducktown. These storms were nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include... Murphy, Ducktown, Tellico Plains, William L. Davenport Refuge, Coker Creek, Violet, Turtletown, Copperhill, Bullet Creek, and Hiawasse Dam.
