Gusty Winds Up To 50 MPH Expected Across Tri-State Area

Residents in Franklin, Hamilton, White, Saline, Gallatin, Posey, Vanderburgh, Union, Webster, Hopkins, Henderson, Daviess, and McLean counties should monitor weather conditions closely as a Special Weather Statement has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Paducah, KY.
As of 7:00 PM CDT, scattered storms and a gust front are pushing slowly south across parts of the tri-state area. The NWS reports a wind gust of 49 mph was measured in Henderson, KY, indicating localized gusts up to 50 mph are possible. This alert is effective immediately and expires at 7:45 PM CDT tonight.
The primary hazard is wind gusts up to 50 mph. These winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Areas including Evansville, Owensboro, Henderson, Mount Vernon, Carmi, Eldorado, Morganfield, Shawneetown, Calhoun, Breckinridge Center, Sebree, Livermore, Norris City, Uniontown, Ridgway, Corydon, Enfield, Equality, Whitesville and Robards are specifically impacted.
The NWS advises monitoring the weather situation closely and being alert for threatening weather conditions during this time.
