Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Madison & Yazoo Counties

Residents in southwestern Madison County and south-central Yazoo County are advised to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building immediately. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Jackson, MS, effective until 8:15 PM CDT tonight, September 21.

At 7:19 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was detected near Bentonia, moving southeast at 10 mph. This storm is capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-sized hail. Radar indicates potential for hail damage to vehicles and wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

The storm is expected to impact Flora around 7:25 PM CDT. This warning remains in effect until 8:15 PM CDT. Take immediate shelter.
