Wind Gusts Up To 50 MPH Expected in Carroll and Madison Counties

Residents in Carroll and Madison counties are advised to seek shelter indoors as a Special Weather Statement has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Tulsa, OK. This statement is effective immediately, as of 11:10 PM CDT on September 20, 2026, and is expected to expire at 11:45 PM CDT.

Doppler radar at 11:10 PM CDT indicated strong thunderstorms moving east at 30 mph. These storms are currently along a line extending from 5 miles east of Forum to 3 miles south of Marble to 3 miles southeast of Witter. The primary hazard is wind gusts estimated between 40 to 50 mph, which could knock down small tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Affected locations include, but are not limited to, Green Forest, Carrollton, Rudd, Pettigrew, Kingston, Witter, Marble, Osage, Rule, Boston, Dryfork, Red Star, Cabanal, Metalton, Weathers, Connor, Coin, Alabam, and Delmar.

The NWS advises that if you are outdoors, you should consider seeking shelter inside a building for the duration of this weather event.
