Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Carter, Johnston, Love, Marshall Counties

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for portions of Carter, Johnston, Love, and Marshall Counties, effective immediately until 4:30 PM CDT today, September 20. Residents in these areas should move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building for protection.

The National Weather Service in Norman reports a severe thunderstorm was located near Lebanon at 3:42 PM CDT, moving northeast at 20 mph. This storm brings hazards including 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-sized hail. Radar indicated these conditions.

Impacts are expected to include hail damage to vehicles, and wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Affected locations include Madill, Tishomingo, Mannsville, Ravia, Lebanon, Russett, southeastern Lake Murray, northern Lake Texoma, and Oakland.
