Jennie Joblin Sparks, 88, of Winston-Salem, was called home to be with her savior, Jesus Christ, on May 18, 2026. She was born on May 22, 1937, in Water Valley, MS, to the late Charles and Pearl Reasonover Joblin.Mrs. Sparks was a member of Manna Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, dear mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Kernersville YMCA for many decades. Mrs. Sparks loved swimming, the beach, and spending time with her family and friends. She worked for RJ Reynolds for 32 years and her coworkers called her "Mississippi".In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sparks is preceded in death by her infant son, James Alan Sparks, six brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Edward Sparks; son, Bryan Kelly Sparks; daughter, Linda Sparks Pope and husband Randy of Carthage, NC; two grandchildren, Sherry Pope Witten and Zachary Pope; sister, Louise Garner of Philadelphia, MS; many loving nieces and nephews; and her precious friend, Frances Keller.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Salem Main Street Chapel.
