Golden Knights Crown Nevada High School Hockey Champs at City National Arena

LAS VEGAS — The Vegas Golden Knights wrapped up the first-ever season of their High School Hockey League with championship games on July 25 and 26, 2025, at City National Arena in Summerlin. Partnering with the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association, the league featured 16 co-ed teams — eight in the Major Division and eight in the Minor Division — starting play on April 27, 2025. In the Major Division final, the Black Mountain Miners from Black Mountain High School in Las Vegas sealed a perfect 15-0 season with a 4-2 victory, scoring three goals including an empty-netter to claim the title. The Minor Division championship pitted Red Rock High School from Summerlin South against the Shadow Mountain Ravens from Summerlin, hosted by Red Rock on July 25. Now in its second season as of 2026, the VGK High School Hockey League continues at America First Center, building on the inaugural success with updated standings and playoffs.
