KIPP Academy Lynn Hosts State Superintendent Fellows
KIPP Academy Lynn hosted aspiring superintendents from across Massachusetts on Friday, March 20, as the first charter public school to welcome fellows from the state's Influence 100 program.
The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education created the two-year fellowship to increase superintendent diversity across the state and focus on equity in district and school operations. Fellows visited KIPP's three campuses—elementary, middle, and collegiate—where they met with administrators and observed classrooms.
The visit gave both groups a chance to examine practices. KIPP staff reflected on their own work while fellows provided feedback on how the school's regional vision matched ground-level experiences. Program organizers framed the day as a lab for fellows to explore and ask questions as they prepare for district leadership roles.
