Wind Advisory Issued: Gusts Up to 45 MPH Expected Through Sunday Morning
A Wind Advisory is in effect for Central Middlesex County and surrounding areas until Sunday morning, with gusts up to 45 MPH expected, potentially causing power outages and making driving difficult.
Residents in Central Middlesex County, Western Essex, Southern Worcester, Western Norfolk, Southeast Middlesex, Northern Bristol, Western Plymouth, and Northwest Providence are advised to secure outdoor objects as a Wind Advisory has been issued by NWS Boston/Norton MA.
The advisory is effective immediately, September 26 at 2:03 AM EDT, and will remain in effect until 8:00 AM EDT on Sunday, September 27. Northeast winds are expected to reach 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph.
These gusty winds may blow around unsecured objects, and there is a possibility of tree limbs being blown down. A few power outages may also result. The National Weather Service cautions that winds of this strength can make driving difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles. Drivers should use extra caution.
