Longboat Key Community Cleanup & Shredding Oct. 24

Longboat Key residents can dispose of unwanted items and documents during the Town of Longboat Key’s Community Cleanup Event on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The event runs from 8 a.m. to noon at Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road, coinciding with Florida City Week.

The town will offer on-site shredding for unwanted documents, with a limit of five boxes per household. Residents with single-family homes can have Waste Management collect bulk items from the curb either the night before or by 6 a.m. on Oct. 24. Residents in multifamily units and condominiums should bring eligible bulk items to a designated drop-off area at Town Hall during event hours.

Proof of residency is required. Residents can find a list of acceptable and unacceptable materials in the event guidelines. For questions, contact the Town’s Public Works Department at 941-316-1988.
