Todd County Solar Farm Decision Postponed

The Planning and Zoning Board of Adjustment postponed a decision on a utility-scale solar project during its April 2 meeting in Long Prairie.

Representatives from US Solar and Westwood Professional Services presented updated studies addressing concerns about farmland impacts, drainage, screening, and decommissioning costs. The revised proposal includes a decommissioning plan detailing how the developer will remove solar infrastructure.

The board has not set a date for its next review.
