Cancer Death Rates in U.S. Continue to Decline, Report Finds

Death rates from all cancers combined decreased for men, women, and children in the United States between 2004 and 2008, according to the Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer, 1975-2008. Researchers published the report after analyzing cancer data.

The report also indicates a decrease in the overall rate of new cancer diagnoses among men. This incidence decreased by an average of 0.6 percent per year between 2004 and 2008.
