This course covers everything you need to start writing scripts for film or television. That includes the basics, like the correct formatting and the right software to use, as well as more advanced concepts like structuring a scene, plotting a script, and writing compelling dialog. Students will read and analyze scripts from successful films and TV shows, start work on their own scripts, and get experience workshopping each other's writing. Students finish the course with a feature-length screenplay well underway, and with the knowledge and skills they need to submit to student film festivals.Adults: 7:00 - 9:00 PM, Tuesdays, 1/4-2/8
