Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Fairfield, Hocking Counties until 11:00 PM EDT

Fairfield and Hocking County residents are advised to immediately move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building due to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by the National Weather Service Wilmington OH.

This warning is in effect until 11:00 PM EDT tonight, September 20. At 10:31 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles east of Kingston, moving east at 35 mph. The primary hazard is 60 mph wind gusts, which are expected to cause damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include Logan, Hocking Hills State Park, Hide-A-Way Hills, Laurelville, Sugar Grove, Adelphi, Buena Vista in Hocking County, Ilesboro, Gibisonville, Hideaway Hills, Lake Logan State Park, Clearport, South Bloomingville, Enterprise, and Rockbridge.
