LINCOLN COUNTY – Residents of Lincoln County are advised to secure loose objects in anticipation of a High Wind Warning issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Las Vegas NV.
The warning is effective from Sunday, October 11, at 5 AM PDT until 8 PM PDT. South winds are expected to reach 25 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 55 mph.
These damaging winds are predicted to blow down trees and power lines, with widespread power outages expected. Travel is anticipated to be difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles.
The NWS urges the public to secure any outdoor items that could be damaged or blown around by the wind.
