Starting January 1, 2026, the City of Delphos will implement a new policy for processing tax returns, requiring all amounts to be rounded to the nearest dollar. This change will affect individual tax returns, net profit calculations, schedules, and 1099 forms.
The rounding policy will also apply to estimated tax payments and payment plans. This adjustment aims to streamline the tax processing system for both the city and its taxpayers.
Taxpayers are reminded that returns submitted after the April 15th due date will incur penalties and interest. The Tax Administrator retains the authority to adjust the total penalty and interest amounts to the nearest dollar.
Federal Short Term Rates will remain unchanged. Further details regarding the implementation of this new rounding policy are expected to be released by the City of Delphos Tax Department closer to the January 1, 2026 effective date.
